A Brand New Senior League, 4 New Teams of All Local Players and Plenty of Great Senior Hockey Action To Watch!
The Southern Senior New Brunswick Hockey League is proud to announce it will begin its operations for the 2021 – 2022 season. Our league will operate under Hockey New Brunswick and will take a new approach to its structure. The league will focus on local players, not imports, and use a revenue-sharing system to build community teams. Our goal is to have local teams with local players to thrill the local crowds and more.
We are proud to announce our four teams for this season are:
- Charlotte County Irishmen – Operating out of St. Stephen
- River Valley Rock – Operating out of Grand Bay-Westfield
- Casey’s Canucks – Operating out of the Greater Saint John Area
- Flames – Operating out of the Greater Saint John Area
As a league, we want to bring Senior hockey back into the communities of Southern New Brunswick. We’re working to secure game nights at community arenas to give us more opportunities to show off the talent of our league.
Today, we can announce that we already have games planned for TD Station, Garcelon Civic Centre, and the Qplex. Our 12-game regular season will primarily be played on Saturdays nights, but we’ll also be adding a few games on special nights throughout the season. As well, we’re already working on few exhibition games to take place in October to help bring the experience of Senior hockey back to our local crowds.
