River Valley Rock was originally established in 2000-2001 the name was suggested by a local fan, John Legget, who came up with the name.

The original River Valley Rock was owned and sponsored by “Myles HomeHardware” The team was known as the River Valley Home Hardware Rock from the 2000-01 season until 2004-05.

The muscle man logo was designed to represent a strong team bond and community strength. River Valley Home hardware Rock were league Champions in 2002-2003 and folded in 2005. The Southern Senior Hockey League closed its doors 2006.

In 2021 The Southern Senior Hockey League was reestablished and competitive men’s hockey was brought back to our area. River Valley Rock was lead by head coach & original RvRock alumni #79 Brad Burns, assist coach’s Josh Perry and Matt Plagenz.

The RvRock were 2022-23 Southern Senior Hockey League Champion’s exactly 20 years after the original RvRock. 2023-24 season RvRock’s newest addition to their coaching staff, also from the original RvRock alumni # 32 John Jarvis.
